1. GET READY
You must have at least 4 outfield players and 1 keeper to play. Select up to 10 outfield players and put them in your pocket. Put the keeper in a separate pocket. Your opponent does the same. Decide who starts and how many goals must be scored to win the game.
2. CHALLENGING
To start, both players draw out 1 player at random without looking at the base. The starting player challenges by calling out any one of theses 4 skill ratings: Tackle, Pass, Cross or Dribble. Both players then compare the number on the base for whatever skill was chosen. If the starting players number is higher, he wins and carries on. If both numbers are the same both players draw out a new player and try again. If your opponent has a higher number he wins and calls the next challenge. If you have pulled out one of the super rare black base players with “free call” on the base, this value can be used for whatever skill rating was called.
3. SHOOTING
The first player to win three challenges in a row earns the right to shoot. This player selects a new outfield player and, without looking at the base, calls out shoot left or shoot right. Your opponent compares his keeper’s save left or save right number. If the keeper’s number is higher or equal to the strikers number then he has saved and your opponent calls the next challenge. If your striker’s number is higher than the keeper’s then you have scored a goal. Again if a super rare black base player was been selected the value on the base can be used as shoot right or left for the striker or save left or save right for the keeper. Scoring a goal either ends the game (if you’ve reached the goal target you agreed) or your opponent ‘kicks off’ with a new challenge
